SR Wine Imports has the possibility to import from many producers of high quality wines. Our company now brings in top quality wines from around the world. Specialising in New World wines. We want to be able to offer the HoReCa market a wine list to be proud of. We are working with current prize winners, the new stars in the world of wine, but also companies with a huge reputation.

We specialise in finding little-known wines of great quality, character, and regional expression. Our producers are hand-picked by us, and combine the best that tradition and terroir has to offer with the flair that modern wine-making techniques can bring. Our portfolio is made up exclusively of wine that has impressed us in every criteria that we look for, including wines which are undiscovered or little known in Norway.

Organic? Biodynamic?
Our wines are often both, and sometimes neither. We are big fans of organic production. Many of our producers that farm organically, however, don’t like to label their wines ‘organic’ – this is just the way they’ve always done things. Organic and biodynamic production should, when not in place merely for fashion or marketing purposes, imply wine made with more care, and we’re all for that. But whether organic, biodynamic, or otherwise, we look for wines produced with a great respect for the land and its traditions.

Of great regional expression
It’s more important for us that wine accentuates the land that it came from rather than fitting into internationally-marketable models – the term, of course, is ‘terroir’. We like to champion indigenous varieties, whilst not ignoring the fact that international varieties often express terroir just as well.

Combining traditional varieties and methods with innovative, modern wine-making techniques.
In general, there is a move towards authenticity in many things, including wine. It’s important to be sensible about these things, we know that there are some things about tradition that should be thrown away and that there are many benefits to be had from new technology. The best results come from a combination of the lessons of tradition and the innovations of modern technology. In our producers, we look simply for an understanding of what is best for their wine.

What matters to us is that the wine tells the story of where it has come from – and whether that story is worth drinking…
